The maypole has got a long tradition behind it. It is believed that the tradition here in Sweden comes from Germany and that it came here already in the Middle Ages. As we celebrate Midsummer Eve in Sweden this summer in June, we want to decorate our table with flowers of course, but having a smaller version of the classic maypole is also appreciated.
